Sylvia joined the Whole Systems Partnership in 2014 after working for the Scottish Government. She has a background in health and care system planning and social innovation. Since 1995, she has held senior positions in public and charity sector organisations, following operational roles in the NHS. She has led work on complex problems across health, social care, housing, voluntary organisations and industry bridging policy and practice working for the Young Foundation, Innovate UK, Scottish Government, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and NHS Confederation. Her particular interests and expertise lie in healthy ageing, personalisation of care, increasing preventative care, building social capital and the adoption and spread of effective health and social innovations. She brings national and international perpestives from across the UK and from the USA, Canada, Europe, Kyrgyzstan, India, Australia and Scotland.
