Peter Lacey

Peter is a founder partner in WSP having been active in consultancy and 'bespoke' project work since the mid 1990s. Peter has a General Management background with commercial and voluntary sector experience before joining the Health Service at a Regional Health Authority in 1990. He has extensive project management experience and has developed training and awareness programmes in programme and project management, strategic planning and systems modelling to a wide range of clients.

Peter completed an MBA at Durham University in 1998 during which time he received a prize for his dissertation work on intermediate care services in the UK and Sweden. Peter is also an associate of the Centre for the Development of Nursing Policy and Practice at the University of Leeds and Chairman of a national charity ‘The Relationships Foundation’, which develops and applies research into the importance of relational values and practices in both public and private sector organisations.

Peter has played an active role in the System Dynamics community in the UK and internationally and has developed a wide range of expertise in the use of simulation and modelling in support of strategic consultancy projects. He has worked with the NHS Institute for Innovation, Audit Scotland and the former Centre for Leadership Development in Wales in applying ‘systems thinking’ to complex problems and is forging new relationships with academia to further explore and refine the contribution this field of work can offer the public sector.
